Supported Employment (SE) facilitates competitive work in an integrated work setting for people with disabilities for whom competitive employment has not traditionally occurred and, who need ongoing support services to perform their job. The Wolens Learning Center has been running its own supported employment program since 2004 for the residents of CHAI. The vocational program encompasses job development, on-the-job training and job follow-up. Individualized vocational plans are created for each participant in the program. CHAI residents currently work at Joe's Crab Shack, Wal-Mart, and Tom Thumb, to name a few.
